New machine, bah ;) I'm still 3-4 months off on that.... I was planning to release in about a week or so. There are a few patches in Jira that I want to get in. But personally I'm happy since I found a great fix for SUREFIRE-700 while watching the children building sand-castles and dipping toes in ice cold water.
Since we just went from 2.7.3 to "2.8" with a new Feature I'd also like to add support for Junit categories (http://jira.codehaus.org/browse/SUREFIRE-656), which might take me an extra session (it's already implemented for testng as "groups" in surefire). Other than that there's just http://jira.codehaus.org/browse/SUREFIRE-690 I want to do before next release. So unless you want to release earlier, I'll be doing 2.8 in a week-ish.
