This is a great opportunity to work with on a cutting edge technology stack and learn about electronic trading across equities, listed derivatives, credit and rates. The Trading Risk Control team is at the center of all electronic trading across the firm. We are responsible for managing risk management applications across equity and fixed income business units. Applications owned by TRC Team interface with all trading systems to fulfill regulatory rules and internal risk requirements. This senior technologist role is primarily in development/coding/testing/deployment of critical, extremely low-latency trading risk check systems in C++. Experience in low-latency server side process development and optimization techniques is required. Additional responsibilities include coordinating with other internal technology teams to build, test, and implement exciting new functionalities and to improve existing plant infrastructure. Strong English communication skills required. Scripting, DB SQL, KDB knowledge a plus. Team-oriented environment. *Qualifications* --Expert C++ programming knowledge --Understanding of code structure on the CPU pipeline --Optimizing code for a NUMA friendly architecture --Understanding of CPU cache line and organization of caches --Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills. We need someone who interacts well with the team and is comfortable in a trading floor environment. --UNIX / Linux skills, the majority of the system runs on Linux --Need to be able to handle pressure well, we are a very busy team and production problems need to be fixed quickly. --The desire to learn!
