Ideal candidate will enjoy various aspects of Database Administration and have interest in cutting edge technologies like Oracle, Golden Gate, Mongo, Cassandra, and Couch base. In addition, strong Shell, Perl, and Python scripting experience will be a big plus. As a Database engineer: - Deliver various DB changes to PayPal's mission critical production databases. - Manage thousands of Dev/QA Database instances supporting PP cloud - work with Product Development every day understanding requirements and implementing solutions so must be good with building relations with customers and partners - Triage incidences and identify root causes - Strive to achieve PayPal’s availability goals - SQL review/tuning and suggest areas of improvements - Able to gel with a large team of DBAs, Operations groups, Capacity, and ETL team and willing to share knowledge - Execute critical change requests - Provide quality customer satisfaction - Follow change management and security guidelines - Must be solid with Shell, Perl, and/or Python to deliver on automation - 5-8 years of experience - Excellent written and verbal communication skills. - Willingness to document and enhance process oriented approach. - Must be able to Multi-task and prioritize without much supervision *Systems Engineer III ( IAM )- PPALJP00001146* *Location : Scottsdale , AZ* *Duration : Atleast 6 months.* The IAM team is kicking off a 13 month effort to retire SAM (Secure Account Management). We are looking for a strong OIM developers who know the product inside out. The candidates will own the project development from start to finish with little supervision.
