Do keep your membership here even if the Facebook group succeeds: groups are better for lighter discussion and publicity. Mailing lists have always been and will remain the right forum for sorting real, scientific-technological, heavier thoughts out. There is no way Facebook could ever support the kinds of discussions that are to be found in the list archives.
