Next week will be stuffed with ambisonics and 3d sound at "Lydgalleriet", aka "ShoeBox", in Bergen, Norway.
The week will be full of rigging, coding, decoding, music, sound, discussions, tests, demoes etc. The program includes a concert by EAU - Electric Audio Unit - on tuesday, with 2 premieres of brand new commissioned ambisonics pieces by composers Anders Tveit and Ruben Sverre Gjertsen. We'll also play music by Natasha Barrett and myself, and perhaps material from installations by Trond Lossius and others. Link to concert program: http://www.lydgalleriet.no/?p=1403 The aim of this workshop is to provide access to the room over several days for composers, developers and other local heroes here around - to meet, test, listen, discuss, ask questions etc. We are working towards something more like a symposium in Bergen, perhaps next summer.
