You want bright ideas,
so apologies for string nd sealing wax:

1) If you have everything twice:
-in many countries bank safety deposit boxes are quite cheap (for one set)
-my solution was to post a set to an understanding aged relative (after
the funeral I was sent a box which included some quaint floppy discs I
hardly recognised ....)

2) If you have 100 same size discs, you can calculate whether the sum of
the Nth bit across all 100 is odd or even and store this lot on disc-101
You can now destroy _any_ one of the 101 discs ... and re-create it.
There is posh name for this ... ???

Good luck,

Michael
