Looking at https://vdt-icsa.de <https://vdt-icsa.de/>, I see that IRCAM have a 
new tool (not that new, but still worth mentioning): panoramix.
It looks like the perfect spatial audio companion for live sound, and the Linux 
version is free (as in beer):
