It's been a couple of years since I last recorded in Ambisonic. I see that, since then, most of the Ambisonic plugins have been updated. I have a new recording of a choral workshop made on a ZOOM H3-VR and am wondering what is now considered the best (easiest? most flexible?) plugin for Reaper to render these Ambix recordings to binaural and stereo? I the past I have used David McGriffy's VVEncode/VVDecode for rendering (from a different recorder and Ambisonic mic) and also the Harpex stand-alone player for viewing the sound sources and listening to raw FuMa files. Should I stick with what I know or should I try the new decoders from Dave Malham or Matthias Kronlachner? So many to try, so little time.
