It's on the motherboard with a second HD on the slave connect on the cable. I've worked out a solution for now by cramming the backpack innards into the case and bringing the cables trough a hacked slot in the back. Still no good in linux but as I can't install that yet I don't guess it matters. I don't think the sbpro allows generic cdrom installation and putting it on the adapter card with the floppy causes the bios to be rewritten. I finally concluded that unless I get rid of one hd I can't have a regular internal cdrom. I'll get a new motherboard sometime and set this board up as a secondary or portable computer or something. Can you stick a baby size 486 motherboard into a 286 laptop? There was one of those for $100 at a surplus assets sale last summer, it may be there next spring bye, Yolanda UIN 4898262 http://members.home.net/pippi5 Funny, I don't remember being absent minded.
