I don't know much about IMAP but I do believe it's been a standard
for Unix servers for a rather long time.
The well-known Pine email client only recently started supporting
POP3 (past couple/few years?).
Sadly enough, for me, PC-Pine 3.xx (DOS) does not support POP3 and never
will as development on 16-bit versions have stopped.
Pine 4, however, does as well as IMAP. Pine 4 is only 32-bit so it's
available for Win95/98, PC-Pine you may want to try since it only
handles IMAP.
Once I get my ISP I'll check to see if they support IMAP.
We never put PC-Pine on the Agate site due to the lack of POP3
support. It may be availabe from SimTel. There are different
versions depending on the type of networking you use.
The archive with WAT in the name is the one to use with the
WATTCP stack.
