For all intrested in DOS IRC and use jpIRC, there's a new version
out.
URL is:
http://www.geocities.com/SiliconValley/Vista/7104/jpirc.htm
New features:
1.jpIRC conformed to match units that were overhauled for other
projects.
2.Nickname size limit is now 30 characters (I was the one who asked
him to add this one. <g>)
3.Can read .CHAT(.CHA) and .IRC files. (almost complete implemention)
4.INSert key disabled. (since its ai'nt working.)
5.The way channel names are received have been modified. (Some servers
send ASCII 007 plus an "o" immediatly after the joined channel-name
if the user is an Op.)
6.The Pentium II patch has been removed and replaced with an actuall
fix.
BTW!
Tyarg could use some help with the programming. So if you got some
time, and know very well how to program in Turbo Pascal.. :)
Instructions for volenteer programmers can be found in the mentioned
above URL.
I've also added jpIRC to the "help request" projects in the DSDP
to increase exposere for the help request (with Tyarg's permission,
ofcourse.)
