I think the video RAM gets amnesia when it switches from graphic to
non-graphic modes? My screens get garbled too. However, if you can do
something in your graphic program that forces it to redraw its screen
you should be okay.
For example in Neopaint, load another image or scroll the current image.
In WordPerfect graphical previews, go to the next page. In SkyGlobe,
change your viewing direction or the time....
