Arachne already has a Keyboard Mouse. I think its "Netscape
Compatiblity Off". Michael could make the mouse smooth easily; buy
letting the mouse software draw the pointer, instead of Arachne. But
some combinations of mouse software and videos don't like that, so
this is alright.
[BTW, I can get smooth mouse in QBASIC!!! Found a book called the
"Microsoft Mouse programmers guide" or similar. Unfortuneately MS
is not compatible with mouse systems. :( Check out BenMenu if I ever
get around to uploading it. It was written years ago...]
In BASIC I did two PEEKs to find out an address then CALL ABSOLUTEs.
PS: Using C makes it very simple indeed to port to Linux; no need to
worry about finding a Pascal compiler, as there are already is one
included.
BTW, how is popcars, got some traction yet? <g>
