Thank you! Your help is identical to Mr. Siegel's... I will now be more
cautious about how I log on to Linux and set up a regular user-id specific
account. Much safer and simpler.
My greatest relief is that I've been successfully able to connect to the
Internet with Linux in a partitioned hard drive -- all without the
intervention or support of my local ISP. I now can connect to the same ISP
with three different OSes on two different computers (Win95 on a pentium; PC
DOS 7 and Linux Red Hat 5.0 on a 486DX2). And my 486 only uses an internal
14400kbps modem. Guess which computer I enjoy the most?? <G>
