I wouldnt be too sure.
I once backuped my Windows 3.11 (WFWG) disks on a Zip drive disk, and
indeed, several months later I couldnt find the disks when I
needed to reinstall Windows. For convinience, I copied all the
files into one directory on the zip disk, and installed from
there. It ran beutifully. (as far as you can say THAT on Windows!)
