A Report from the MAPLE SHADE PROGRESS newspaper, April 9:
Maple Shade broadcaster Ret Zogreso has been nurturing an amateur reporter
in Belgrade, communicating through an old computer and a Burlington County
Library e-mail account, and airing excerpts on his weekly radio show. The
excerpts can be heard on Life-Net Radio, an all-volunteer program fighting
poverty, which Zogreso puts together in his home in Maple Shade and which
airs each Monday at 10:45 p.m. on WTMR-800 AM in Camden.
A KYW-TV camera crew joined Zogreso in his studio March 29. The following
night on Eyewitness News At Eleven, anchor Larry Kane said, "The door is
slightly ajar on what's happening over there," and the report showed
Zogreso, reading his penpal's e-mail, a portion of which said: "Poverty
and police oppression are two sides of the one coin, the foul issue of
that irresponsible, kleptocratic dictator Milosevic."
