I've uploaded my dialer program, 'DialPC17.zip' to softcon.com, in the /internet directory. I use it with a script file to connect to an ISP. After connecting, it then hands off the comm port to a packet driver. It can do other general purpose things that require scripts, too. I wrote it because I found that some other comm tools I've tried either lacked something, or were cryptic, clumsy, or even buggy. DialPC supports COM1-COM4, and speeds up to 115200. One of its features is that I can start it, and, if the ISP is especially busy, it will keep dialing at intervals until it connects, then it makes some musical notes to alert me, if I've gone to the next room or something. It can also wait for any of several possible 'receive' strings and branch to different parts of the script accordingly. I use it as a replacement for 'chat.exe' in Tony Lopez's excellent DOSPPPD programs. -- [EMAIL PROTECTED][EMAIL PROTECTED] USA To unsubscribe from SURVPC send a message to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with unsubscribe SURVPC in the body of the message.
