Windows are windows and GUIs are GUIs, no matter who makes them! If
someone wants a "graphical" interface for DOS, what's wrong with the
simple mainstream Dosshell included with PC-DOS and MS-DOS?! Dosshell
does just about everything you need in the way of a file management
without the use of a prompt -- at least for those who need something
lighter and less involved than the DOS prompt. And there's taskswapper,
if you have the need for multiple program switching. You can customize
it. You can explore with it. You can certainly waste enough time with
Dosshell without (if you like to play a lot) trying everything else under
the sun.

Do the other versions of DOS have similar shell programs? I bet they do.

I suggest that seriously committed DOS users should cease from "doodling"
with icons and graphics and get down to serious command prompt creativity!

Don't put the cart before the horse!
