Hi Alessio,

I have a Valuepoint 433DX and I have upgraded it's memory a few weeks
ago. My 433DX uses 30 pin SIMMS of IBM specification. Normal SIMMS for
other brands of computers (which are cheap) didn't fit into the
sockets, I needed special SIMMS for IBM pc's and these are more
expensive, even now.

I couldn't find the SIMMS I wanted on the second hand market, so I
called a specialized memory shop ("Simm City") in Amsterdam. They
appeared to have comprehensive listings of every brand of pc's and the
type of memory they need. They were able to find the correct type of
SIMMS immediately.

The installation of the SIMMS was easy. Just put them into the
sockets. I didn't even have to run Setup. The pc detected the new
memory configuration by itself, right from the first time I switched
it on again with the added memory. I didn't have to do anything :-)

The SIMMS that I purchased from Simm City appeared to be made by
Transcend Company.

Apparantly they have web presence:

http://www.transcendusa.com (I've never visited this link)

For info and online manuals of Valuepoint pc's check out:

You can also go to:

(Click on the Support link and fill out your pc's type numbers)

Good luck!
