What you do is change the line BootGUI=1 in MSDOS.SYS to BootGUI=0, then add
WIN to the end of AUTOEXEC.BAT. When Windows is Shut Down, type MODE CO80 at
the 'It's now safe...' screen and hit Enter - voila, DOS prompt. This doesn't
seem to work in Win98 though, as that locks the keyboard, powers down the hard
drives and sticks the processor into a loop. (CLI JMP +0 I guess).
