The Cd-Rom drive is a Mitsumi 2x internal but it does have an interface
card, I don't know if that could be what is making the difference. I've
also been doing some reading and I saw something about how you could start
the install from dos, not sure exactly what is meant by that I need to do
some more reading on the manual before I make my next attempt. I decided to
use this version of linux because I'm too cheap to buy a copy until I've had
a chance to look at it and a friend already had this one so I thought I'd
give it a try. According to the specs on the box my system isn't the
minimum that it will run on but the older the system the fewer bells and
whistles will work.

Thanks,
Kevin
