AFAIK, M$ pulled the plug of NT on Alpha, so Linux is really the only
way to go there (except the unix that digital have, but they agree
Linux is better)
Also, NT still has a couple of 16 bit parts. But they do bring down
the stability (even bringing down the whole system sometimes which is
unacceptable)
That old saying "W9x = 32 bit extensions to a 16 bit shell of a 8 bit
OS orginally coded for a 4 bit CPU by a 2 bit company that can't
stand 1 bit of competition" is slightly wrong. :)
