Point your favorite FTP program to:
ftp://ftp.simtel.net/
and then go down in to the pub/simtelnet/msdos directories and look for
directories with names like cad or graphics or drawing. There are possibly
dozens of shareware and even freeware programs for DOS that will do anything
you could want with regard to designing, producing, croping, rotating,
editing, painting drawings, graphics, images, or any other kind of graphic
you could imagine. Some of these programs are still being updated and
improved.
You can also access simtel with a web browser:
http://www.simtel.net/
and follow links to various areas of interest.
