Finally found the section of their WWW site that offered the older
versions. [I didn't suggest Eudora the first time around, because I
couldn't find a download site.] To save some time for folks:

However, it only offers a commercial version for Windows 3.1  I also
have had experiences with the 16-bit versions of Eudora Lite not being
able to decode uuencoded attachments, only MIME-base64-encoded
attachments.

In my opinion, Pegasus Mail for Win 3.1 is a much better product. And
free!
