Well, I don't use the "/M" switch, but offer the following suggestions : - Try enclosing the modem string in double quotes (eg. /M:"....") - Why are you writing to the modem's non-volatile memory? If you want to make these settings permanent, just use a terminal program to do it. You can then use the "AT&Z_" command to retrieve these settings (IIRC, LSPPP does an automatic AT&Z, although you seem to be using a different bank of non-volatile settings). Otherwise, just leave off the "&W2", so that LSPPP simply configures the modem temporarily, each time you invoke it. It makes no sense to be repeatedly writing these settings to the non-volatile memory and in severe cases, could even wear-out the memory. - Is your modem rejecting your initialization string? Eg. does it really have a non-volatile settings bank #2? Maybe it only has #0 and #1, maybe even just #0 (the default bank). - Note that sometimes the "AT&F" and "AT&W" modem commands involve a lot of internal processing by the modem, so that it doesn't respond "OK" for one or more seconds - maybe LSPPP isn't waiting long enough to see the modem's response? - BTW, I presume you are using LSPPP's internal dialler? Otherwise, the modem initialization string is redundant/inappropriate. - Do you have a time machine? <G>
