Long time ago - and most probably following a hint from this list - I had found that marvellous utility under the name of "CDromGod" (probably with a ".zip" extgnsion.) Helped me even to install a "backpack" (parallel port connected) CD-drive. It has become more and more important for all recycling efforts with "legacy" things and (by now) so-called "exotic" CDR-drives.
If it's that difficult to find by now I'll get the stowed-somewhere zipfile out and set it up at my www-place too: security by redundency,<g>. Additional beauty of the thing: the main driver is way smaller than the (not so) original MS-thing. AND lets you chose to install, or not, without syntax gymnastics in Config.sys etc. // Heimo Claasen // <hammer at revobild dot net> // Brussels 2002-10-31 The WebPlace of ReRead - and much to read ==> http://www.revobild.net To unsubscribe from SURVPC send a message to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with unsubscribe SURVPC in the body of the message.
