Well, the problem that I had that was causing a similar problem was in the
/etc/smb.conf file, I had typed in "net bios name = office" and my win95
box could find "office" since it's ip was defined both in the network setup
and in lmhosts, but didn't see it in network neighborhood.  I changed that
entry to "netbios name = office" and voila, Win95 could see Office:-)
