I think the Mexican school situation sums it up nicely.
I hear that some Oregon school systems are switching to Redhat also,
because it is essentially free, as opposed to around a grand a piece
for Microsoft stuff.

I would really be interested in hearing what the Chinese are using
in their schools. The tend to lead the pack in math and programming
and I don't think it was any coincidence that Gates was there last year
to
push Microsoft. Of course the Chinese are too smart to use some
American OS, that could have backdoors in it from our intelligence 
agencies.
