Quite a few people have succesfully compiled it.
There seems to be 2 common pitfalls.
1.
You didn't edit the Makefile properly according to the instructions.
I can email you a good makefile to use or look at.
2.
Alot of people had trouble downloading those modules. I can't
remember the exact detail but it had something to do with
not unpacking properly. Check the modules with an editor, don't
trust the .o extension, make sure they are unpacked.
