I bought WP 7 and found it too buggy to use. It was not wasted money as
it helps Corel to notice the Linux community (so I agree--thank you
Corel!), but I am a little disappointed that they didn't offer an
upgrade or anything.
If you just want to whip out a letter, use LyX, AbiWord, Maxwell, etc.
Writing a letter on Corel is like multiplying two numbers using
Mathematica: it works, but it's much more than the right tool for the
job. Corel is not open source and is clearly aimed at the business
user.

BTW, It's not really free. You must agree to the following when you
download it: you get a 90 day trial period (complete with annoying
little "your trial period will run out in xxx days" dialogs), then you
must register it. To get online help, manuals (necessary for such a
complex program!), etc. you must pay the $70.
