I don't see that the percentage of German respondents is all that
relevant.  LJ is a US magazine and so US readers had just as much, if
not more opportunity to respond than anyone in other countries.  The
fact that more Germans responded only tells me that they may be more
passionate about their distribution than others are.

I posted this opinion to my local LUG's (GLUG in Johannesburg, South
Africa) list earlier this week and someone replied that if US citizens
are often too apathetic to vote for their president for the next few
years it's a bit much to expect them to vote for an OS.
