well, put it somewhere after your network interfaces have started, for
example in the end of /sbin/init.d/network or boot.local may be a good
place. Don't forget to add a host route to your new virtual ip, if you want
to ping it from localhost [ route add -host <virtual ip address> dev eth0:0
] :)

Turn off the domain masquarading. If you edit /etc/sendmail.cf directly,
remove the DMactual.dom.ain line, or otherwise run YaST and remove if from
there :) That way, sendmail will not modify your From addresses :)

You have to configure your apache for the dirrerent ips/hostnames. See the
documentation at http://www.apache.org/ and in particular, the
documentation for VirtualHost and NameVirtualHost directives :-)
