I tried /etc/profile before I sent out the message.  If the user I log in as is not 
root, I get the 'Operation not permitted' error.  Looks like the problem has something 
to do with permissions but I am not sure what to change to make it possible to set 
'ulimit
-c' for non-root users since ulimit is a bash built-in command.
