I had this too, but only on one of the two upgrades I've done (strange?).
You need to install an older version of a library, libgpp27 (in the dev
series) I think.

I think you may have to install the gccfront (?) package. It says you
shouldn't use egcs for building the kernel. On both upgrade I've done, I've
had to install gccfront by hand (well, using yast).
