Hello Bostjan,
as far as I know no further entries in Sambas Makefile are needed. From
"man smb.conf":

   encrypt passwords (G)
       This  boolean controls whether encrypted passwords will be
       negotiated with the client. Note that Windows NT  4.0  SP3
       and  above  will  by  default  expect  encrypted passwords
       unless a registry entry is changed. To use encrypted pass�
       words in Samba see the file docs/ENCRYPTION.txt.

I had a quick look into that article, but it was to complicated for me.
;-(
User validation depends also on the way you validate. (i.e.
security=server).
I suppose you need the additional smbpasswd file if you use security =
user/share with NT-clients.
