There are several things:
1. you need a new version of loadlin (1.6a)
2. you compiled a kernel using the TSC feature of the newest
versions of pentium types and your processor does not have a TSC
(Time-Stamp Counter)
3. you are passing an "append" to the kernel which has changed for
the new kernel.
