good day all ...

i'm trying to build support for mounting dos filesystems in kernel 2.2.1.
i configured and installed a new kernel with module support including enabling
module support for fat/vfat/minix/msdos, built and installed the modules (they
are in /lib/modules/2.2.1) and booted the new kernel with no problem.

when i try to mount /dev/hda2 (fat partition), i get this error:

mount: fs type fat not supported by kernel.

my 2.0.36 kernel mounts this filesystem just fine. any suggestions would be
appreciated!

thanks!
