Always in S.u.S.E. Linux 5.3 I used "script" option in kppp on my 2500 Laptop. This is what I always did with xisp ( kppp before they added the "k") in both Linux for the Power PC and MK Linux on my Apple 7600. Now I switched setting to PAP, and vunderbar, I am Netting again. Before I was told to avoid PAP and CHAP and stuff by the phone support at !nteract Services, (uswest ISP). Apparantly scripts don'y trigger pppd or diald or whatever. Anyway. Now ppp works. I have WordPerfect downloaded and going.
