I can confirm that. I also started with Redhat en tried 4.2 and 5.2. It gave
me a lot of troubles installing X-windows. With SuSE 6.0 it worked like a
charm altough the SuSE-boys are lying ! Installation in 30 minutes, what a
scam ! It took me at least 45 minutes ;-).
