Hi-
I am running gnome 99.8 off the suse 6 rpms that are located off of
gnome's web site. I downloaded all the latest, compiled glib and gtk
1.20, and have had pretty good luck with the release located there. If
you use the suse 6 rpms be sure to read the notes on the page about
imlib errors not loading png files correctly. I also had to download
all the devel files to get things compiling correctly.
The gnome version which ships with suse is rather old. Gnome 99.8
seems quite stable here. I did have to self compile glib and gtk. Note
that if you want gtk it wants glib so might as well do both. Both are
at www.gtk.org. GTK is a rather interesting compile here :)
