I am a bit confused with all the /etc/isapnp.conf, loadable modules,
auto loading kernel, /etc/conf.modules, PnP mother boards, and bios
settings. I have an ASUS P2B mother board with an AHA2940UW PCI host
adapter, a Matrox Mellenium II PCI video card, a SB64 gold sound card,
and an ATAPI EIDE CD-ROM drive. I am using oss for my sound driver. It
works. I do have a problme with kscd on Kernel 2.2.x, and I keep
getting an error saying the system can't find char-major-4.

Does anybody know if I should have the:

PnP OS feature of the motherboard enabled or disabled?
IRQ for the SB in used by ISA or normal mode?
The I/O ports and IRQs for the com ports set to the normal com 1 and com
2 settings for wintel?
Other settings on the motherboard in any special configuration?
isapnp.conf set up to describe the settings of my sound card?

TIA,

Steve
