I wouldn't do that, the G200 is excellent. I run a commercial display manager
called Accelerated-X from Xi Grpghics, Inc. and it works excellent!
I hear that the SuSE Xserver works great also. Grab:

ftp://ftp.suse.com/pub/SuSE-Linux/suse_update/XFree86-3.3.3.1-SuSE/libc5/xsvga.rpm

and do 

# rpm -Uvh svga.rpm


This ought to help your video issues. Let us know how it goes.
