Hi all
I recently installed 98 and connected to my linux lan which worked
flawlwssly with ip masq.
Initially I established a good ip masq with the 98 and all was well.
I then decided to switch modems from 98 to linux which diddn work so I
switched back and now the ip masq dosnt work. (both modems work
independently on the seperate machines though)
Here are the symptoms
1)I can ping all machines no problem
2)when I dialup with linux and immediatly try to ping the linux from 98
the ping hangs and no net connection is made with 98.
3) as soon as I kill the ppp connection on linux I can then ping linux
from 98

I *really* have to get this working and any suggestions readmes etc would
be appreciated.
If someone has their network setting in 98 please post or send them to me

also fwiw I have a FW on suse and masq starts on boot spoofing friends
etc....
I dont suspect the FW to be a problem because I can ftp files easily from
98 to linux. The connection seems to break when I establish ppp with linux
Any ideas?
thanks
rob
