Try "file <filename>", it should tell you the correct file type. If it is
still gzipped, rename it to <filename>.gz. Gzip will not decompress files
without the "gz"-extension...

This is the Motif library, which is required for the dynamically linked
binaries, which are also contained in this package. Just pass the
"--no-deps" Parameter to RPM and it should install.
