I'm running KDE under Linux 5.3. How can I set the keyboard repeat
rate? I realize that there are several levels at which it might be
controlled:
1. The keyboard hardware itself.
2. The main part of the operating system.
3. The X Window system.
4. KDE.
Does anyone know how all of these interact? KDE itself doesn't seem to
have a setting for this, though it does have a setting for keyclick
loudness.
I should mention that a fast keyboard repeat rate can be *very*
hazardous, particularly when you're doing system installation. I once
clobbered a system because I pressed Enter once (so I thought) but got
three keystrokes as a result. That took three default choices, one of
which was a disk reformat.
