Yes, I'm subscribed to mysql, php, and suse lists. The problem is
solved, all I had to do was change the START_MYSQLD="no" to yes and
voilla, I'm in heaven.
Now I'm off to download my favourite editor for installation; and the
SuSE manual hints at the possibility to run linux in a shell under
Windows, which would be way cool, since my prefferred editor is
UltraEdit.
We'll see.
