Hi all,
I have a big problem with latex. I need to use the italian hyphenation. In
SuSE5.3 in the directory web2c I did
# initex 'lplain \dump'
from which I obtained 2 files: lplain.fmt and lplain.log. In lplain.log there
was written something about the hyphenation used which in my case was
\l@english=\language0
and
\l@italian=\language1

With SuSE6.0 I changed the file language.dat commenting the german language
and commenting out the italian language. Then I went to web2c and did a "initex
'lplain \dump'" but there is no lplain file, I assumed it is changed in this
new version to plain but in plain.log there is nothing about hyphenation. I
urgently need to switch on italian hyphenation. Could you please tell me how to
do it?

Thanks,

Maurizio
