Hi,
I just installed 6.0, 2.0.36 kernel. I'm using a Matrox G200 with
16MB video ram, and xsvga. Sax let me pick driver from its list.
There is a dark section across the top of the display (at all higher
resolutions; I haven't tried low ones yet; machine is not at hand
right now). It is about 4-5 mm high. In all other respects, the display
works very well. The monitor was
not pre-selectable (It's a Dell-branded Sony trinitron 20"), so I
chose "unspecified". I just
wrote in vert. and hor. refresh rates from its specs, and all seems well. This is
not a monitor size adjustment problem: the little corner rectangles
are where they should be, only the top halves of the top ones are
blacked out.

Any ideas? I'm brand new with Linux but have never
seen this sympton with other OSs and other boards.

Best,
jim bennett
