I was just watching a TV show called "Cops"? , and they were detailing how the new police technology was used to subdue a gang holding a bunch of people hostage in a house. One of the things they showed was how the cops could "take control and lock your computer" via the internet. Before they locked it with a "federal warrant" screensaver, they downloaded a complete file listing of the computer. They said it was done with a legal trojan downloaded as part of a anti-virus update package. Considering how corrupt things are, how much money would it take to buy the secret federal code needed to "invade your computer".
