Hi,
I'm just trying to get samba going as an
intellectual exercise.
I'm running into a roadblock.
The last time I tried it , was back with
Suse5.1 connecting to win95, and I was
successful.
I used a simple command.

smbmount //z2/c /B -I 192.168.0.2
where /B is where I'm mounting, and 192.168.0.2
is the address of z2.

Now it dosn't work.

When I try it, I get asked for a password,
then the password is always rejected, and it says
check the smbmount page for info.

Well, I changed the "security=user" to "security=share";
and I did the win95 registry change to set
EnableClearTextPassword=1

I still get the same error message.

I have the smbd and nmbd lines in inetd.conf uncommented,
and samba and inetd are started in yast.

Anyone have a clue?
I prefer NFS anyways, so I'm ready to chuck samba
if I can't get this to go.
